Guided Trips to the Sierra Nevada & Worldwide!
Gorgeous!

Agnew Meadows to Red Meadow :

You've got to start somewhere right? Why not start in one of the most beautiful areas of the High Sierra on the John Muir trail? This trip is best for those who are new to backpacking or for those who are just looking for a shorter trip. We will camp and hike next to beautiful lakes, along the world famous John Muir trail and see beautiful water falls and even get to take a tour of Devils Postpile. If you have never been backpacking before we will go over all the necessary information and our office staff can answer endless questions about gear and what to expect. A gear list will be sent out when you sign up.

If you are interested in making the trip as easy as possible, we can help you outfit yourself in “fast and light” style. Your back will appreciate it, especially on the uphills! Contact us below for more information on the lightweight option. SMG guides will be cooking up some great meals on the trip. Be ready to eat well as we spend the weekend in the woods, and let us know if you have any dietary considerations. We are happy to accommodate just about any diet. A thorough trip description will be sent with your confirmation. The details will include when and where to meet, what to bring, and more of what to expect.
