Every summer for the past four years Sierra Mountain Guides has proudly worked with Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra on their Wounded Warriors program. The Wounded Warriors are all veterans with some sort of injury and they come from all over the country to participate in this summer program. We take folks with visual impairments, amputations, spinal cord injuries, and other neuromuscular and orthopedic conditions out climbing. The Disabled Sports staff are awesome, funny and super helpful and the men and women who have served our country are absolutely the salt of the earth. We are constantly inspired, awed, and brought to tears through this program.
