Mt. Gilbert
North Couloir
Mt. Gilbert is yet another tremendous Sierra couloir. In the fall the North Couloir is 900' of 50 to 65 degree alpine ice climbing. There is some exciting scrambling and climbing from the top of the Couloir to reach the summit. This is a reasonable two day climb with incredible views and some great climbing.  Mt. Gilbert is a somewhat unknown peak but we highly recommend this Sierra alpine adventure.
