"You wouldn't like me when I'm angry." But when you are on this amazing granite monolith you will be anything but angry! The Hulk is striking and begs to be climbed. Those with the skills and fortitude to take on this level of climbing will be rewarded with one of the best rock climbing experiences in the Sierra. The rock quality is on a par with the best alpine granite anywhere, and the scenery is outstanding in the Sawtooths, outside of Bridgeport. The Red Dihedral is an outstanding climb, at least as good as the 3rd Pillar of Dana. If you have enjoyed the former, then this route should already be on your calendar.

Trip Itinerary | Prerequisites | Additional Information

TRIP ITINERARY: Incredible Hulk
DAY 1	Meet for breakfast and a final pack check in the quaint Eastside hamlet of Bridgeport. Shuttle to Twin Lakes and hike up Little Slide Canyon to a high camp.
DAY 2	Alpine start and blast the route! The Red Dihedral is 13 pitches of classic climbing with 2 pitches of 5.10. The crux is a short and steep bulge at the top of the red dihedral pitch. Descend the peak by downclimb and rappel, back to the base of the route. Pack up camp, hike down to Twin Lakes, and celebrate back down in Bridgeport.

Prior wilderness camping experience
Excellent physical fitness and stamina
Prior multi-pitch climbing experience to 5.10, and comfortable climbing 5.10 at altitude
Prior experience at altitudes above 10,000’
