This is a tour of the best snow and ice chutes in the Eastern Sierra. This aggressive itinerary takes us out on long days and requires very good physical condition. We will fine tune the agenda based on conditons, your experience, goals and fitness.  We select a new basecamp site every year. Here is a list of possibe basecamps:

Meet for breakfast.  Gear check and head to basecamp.

DAY 4 Possible shorter climb. Pack up camp and hike down to the cars.

  • Prior wilderness camping experience
  • Excellent physical fitness and stamina
  • Experience climbing steep snow and ice with ice axe and crampons
  • Prior ice ace and crampon use
