Sarah Councell and Howie Schwartz straddle the rarely visited "true" summit of the pinnacle.
Cardinal Pinnacle II, 5.6 - 5.10 Perched high above the small town of Aspendell Cardinal Pinnacle stands out like a granite lighthouse. It is a roadside attraction, yet is hardly ever crowded, and it boasts some of the cleanest, most pristine granite on the Eastside of the Sierra. It hosts numerous 5-star crack climbs and the Regular Route is ideal for alpine training year-round. This makes a great day in the mountains or as a warm up day for your next alpine test piece.
