Esha Peak- Winter 2009

Taylor called and said he had a free day to do some backcountry skiing.  His only request was that the trip be  EPIC. Even though it was already February the snowpack was unseasonably thin.  After doing some research and speaking with Howie we decided to give Esha Peak a try.  I hadn't skied the peak yet but with its high elevation and North aspect there was a good chance that we would find some good snow.  We had a great day with some great turns.  We found all kinds of snow from powder to crusts.  With the amazing views and proud relief I'm sure I'll be back again.
