Course Itinerary: Sport Chalet Three Day Rock Camp

Day 1

Meet for breakfast, and head out to the crag.  After a short approach hike on the original Pony Express Trail you will go through introductory skills; ratings, harness, ropes, knots, belay, equipment, and rock movement.  Don't worry there will be plenty of time for climbing. After a great day of climbing you will head back to the lodge to enjoy a shower, and a great dinner.

Day 2

Meet for breakfast.  Advanced rock movement and skills day.  Rappelling, crack climbing technique, face climbing technique and lots of practice.  This is the day to start feeling the difference between different techniques and work on efficiency. Of course there will be lots of fun as well.

Day 3

Meet for Breakfast. Applied skills day. Bring it all together and learn how to choose the right technique for the right climb.  There will be a chance to do another rappel and plenty of time to practice.  If time and interest allows there will be an introduction to multi pitch techniques. Finish the day with an apre drink at the Ranch and share stories and pictures.  Don't miss this chance to start your addiction to one of the fastest growing sports.
