Course Itinerary: Sport Chalet Three Day Rock Camp

Day 1

 

Meet for breakfast at the Breakfast Club, gear check and head out to the crag.  After a short approach hike you will go through introductory skills; ratings, harness, ropes, knots, belay, equipment, and rock movement.  Don't worry there will be plenty of time for climbing. After a great day of climbing you will head back to the Inn to enjoy a shower, and a great dinner.

Day 2

 

Day two is custom tailored to your fly fishing experience!  Whether a beginner or advanced fly angler, our guides will take you to the best fishing of the day on the Upper Owens River and coach you to the next level.

Beginners: will be taught the basics of equipment, casting and landing fish on a fly rod.  Your group will then be introduced to reading the water, how to choose and tie up your flies based on local aquatic insects, and how to make an enticing presentation to trout!

Experienced: anglers will be guided to the best fishing of the day based on their desires, abilities and current local conditions.  We love to teach!  We are happy to share some of the nuances of fly fishing with our guests.
